What An Incredible 2011 For Mac Plecker & Ballistic!

Published on November 23, 2011

The Extreme Team 4×4 team finished up 2011 in the same winning fashion that it began, with Mac Plecker and Ballistic continuing to find victory lane at an incredible rate. To start off September, the team traveled to Paducah, Kentucky to perform in a two night event for our good friend Rodney Tweedy. The weekend would belong to Ballistic as Mac swept racing and freestyle both nights against a tough field of competition.

From Paducah it was back down to Florida to run another event for Scott Hartsock, this time at the Hernando County Fairgrounds in Brooksville, Florida. The first night of the event would be rained out, but once the action finally started, Mac ran strong winning wheelies and racing to start off the night. Problems would keep the team out of freestyle but it was still a great night in Brooksville.

Searcy, Arkansas was the site of a great small show in 2010 and the team was very honored to be asked back again by Greg Price and his AMMP crew. JR McNeal in Razin Kane was tough, edging out Mac for the wheelie and freestyle wins, but Mac would not be denied in racing, taking Ballistic to the win.

After a couple weeks back at the shop to regroup, the team headed to Glencoe, Alabama’s Green Valley Speedway to compete in a huge 8 truck show. With some tough competition, Mac made his presence felt at the Monster Truck War, placing in the top of the field in all competitions and managing to put Ballistic in victory lane in Friday night’s racing competition.

After a great ride truck event at the Warner-Robbins Air Show and a week off, the team would compete in its final event of the season in Swainsboro, Georgia. The hometown boy Kevin King in Strait Jacket would take home the wins, but Mac and Ballistic hung tough and turned in some great performances.

Following the completion of the racing part of the year, Mac and Liz traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada for the annual SEMA show. It was great seeing all of our good friends and sponsor partners in person, and we look forward to working with everyone again in 2012.

The final event for the team of 2011 would be the annual Rock Ranch Benefit. What a great group of people and we always have fun putting on a show with Ballistic and giving rides with the Extreme Team ride. Thanks to the Rock Ranch folks for having us back and we look forward to returning again in 2012.

Our good friends with TheMonsterBlog.com track results for the entire monster truck industry and it really is amazing just how strong of a year Mac and Ballistic had in 2011 – check out some of these stats and how they ranked against the 241 other drivers who competed this year:
